The old year has passed away-

A new one has begun.

Each new day will be a clean slate

With the dawning of the sun.

So try each day to do God’s will

To help those less fortunate than you,

So they can have a better life

Filled with many rich blessings, too.

The Lord blesses those who do His will-

Who follow His commands in all they say

Who set a Godly example for others to follow

As they go about doing good each day.

Thank you, Lord, for all our blessings

That we can share with others

To make the world a better place

For all our sisters and brothers.
