A weekend “Deeper Insights” post

Here is another “Deeper Insights” post by Beth Johnson.

COMPARING OURSELVES AMONG OURSELVES

There can only be two outcomes if we compare ourselves: Either I am proud that I’m better than you are, or I’m embarrassed and ashamed and tempted to be envious of you

  1. Definitely something of which I need reminding. Sometimes with health struggles, I find it too easy to look at those who are healthy and wish I was too! The Lord knows what He is doing with me, and the only comparison I need to make is with His word. Thank you for the reminder!

    • Sister Amy,

Hearing that from you brings tears to my eyes. What a beautiful attitude you display!
I think it must be hard for some to understand we are not guaranteed anything. We have no “rights” as most today believe, but we are blessed if God gives us physical life to learn of Him and grow spiritually. Even if one is disabled, she can grow in her inner man and be useful to him in eternity. We can pray for that! Hugs!
