If every word of God is pure, then do not add to it or take away from it.

TRUTH

Truth does not contradict itself.

  • Mark 3:25—And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
  • John 17:17—Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
  • 2 Timothy 3:16—All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

If all scripture came from God and God cannot lie then all scripture is true as stated; therefore, no passage can make another passage false or meaningless.

  • Proverbs 30:5-6—Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
  • Revelation 22:18-19—For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book

If every word of God is pure, then do not add to it or take away from it.
