Dear Lord as I travel down this weary road
As I bear this large and heavy load
Hold my hand and walk with me
Lead me into your calm serenity

As I walk with you I find a peace like no other
I know with You, there is nothing I can’t weather
People mock me and say: “why do I need you Lord?”
But I know that in their life of sin
They will lose more than they can afford

Because in You there is everlasting life
And when You are on my side the darkness turns to light
I live my life in anticipation of Your throne,
‘till one day I will meet you in the sky and I’ll fly away home.
