This morning before work, while scrolling through FB articles, I came across a quote by Cecile Richards from Planned Parenthood. She was asked the question, “When does life begin?” Her answer: “I don’t know that it’s really relevant to the conversation.” This is an example, a very good one at that, at just how far down sin will take a person. Cecile Richards learned a lot of words in school, she needs to go back and learn the meaning of “relevant” and apply it to her life.
“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19
“For Thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalms 139:13-14
“Speaking lies in hypocrisy: having their conscience seared with a hot iron; . . . .” I Timothy 4:2
“Sin will take you where you didn’t plan to go. It will keep you there longer than you planned to stay. And it will cost you more than you intended to pay.” ~David Harris
This nation becomes more coarse by the day, wallowing in the mire of sin, with many saying that Biblical matters really are not relevant today. God’s Word, Truth, is just as relevant today as it was in the beginning. …but when sin takes over a nation, such are the statements from one as Cecile Richards, and the populace as a whole buys into Satan’s lies.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34
“So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
I have heard many say on varying subjects that have to do with morality. What does it matter? It matters very much how we live our lives and we will either live our lives for Him or we will live our lives as we choose, and live with Satan. There are consequences for our sins after we die. Allowing Satan to whisper into your ear the lie that it doesn’t matter will cost many souls and an eternity with Satan is not worth this temporal life and the sensual pleasures Satan puts before you, all the while telling you, it really doesn’t matter.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” II Corinthians 5:10-11
Yes Cecile Richards. Life is relevant to the conversation. Sin is real. Judgment is coming, and dodging Truth will get you nowhere except an eternity with Satan.
“Satan promises the best and pays the worst. He is a liar from the beginning. The foolish are deceived by him. The promised crown becomes a halter. The promised comfort becomes torment, and the promised honor becomes shame, and the promised heaven becomes hell.” ~ David Harris
