If Jesus came to Sunday morning worship, would you be there?

If Jesus came to Sunday evening worship, would you be there?

If Jesus came to Wednesday night Bible study, would you be there?

If Jesus came to potluck, would you be there?

If Jesus came to the men’s meeting, would you men be there?

If Jesus came to the ladies’ Bible study, would you ladies be there?

If Jesus came to game night, would you be there?

If Jesus came to VBS, would you be there?

If Jesus came to the local Gospel meeting, would you be there?

If Jesus came to the local lectureship, would you be there?

If Jesus came to the local Church camp, would you be there?

How far would you be willing to travel if you heard Jesus was going to be somewhere?

Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Let’s be honest. If Jesus would come to these events in person, we would make an extra special effort to be available. We forget, though, that Jesus is with us in Spirit. He told the disciples that He would take communion with them in the kingdom, which is the Church (Matthew 26:29); so, He is present with us while we partake of communion! Jesus is at the worship. He’s at the Bible studies. He’s at the potluck, the VBS, the gospel meetings, the lectureships, etc. Are you?
