A modest look is what I want,
I do not, before others, want to flaunt.
I want to be a woman of discretion,
Not one who has troubles and learned hard lessons.
So before the mirror I stand each morn,
Making sure I go out properly adorned.
Is my top a bit too low, or a bit too short,
If so, I need one of a different sort.
What about my pants? Are they too low cut?
Don’t want anyone to see my — well, you know what.
Tightness is an issue, too — tight pants, tight skirts,
blouses and dresses, could my Christian example lessen.
Does my clothing something lack?
Does any of it show half of my back?
Am I exposing too much of my thighs?
If I am, I hope I’ll realize.
One more thing I must address,
No wearing see-through — I want to stress.
I’m now ready to meet the world,
And show others by my dress that I’m a Christian girl.
