Winston Churchill once said, “Solitary trees. If they grow at all, grow strong.” There is much truth to his statement and much power in “one”.
One grain of sand can turn the tide. One stone tossed into water can cause a ripple. One seed can grow a flower. One can bind up. One can tear down. One tongue can preach Truth. One light can lead the way. One unkind word can scar. One act of love from someone can turn a life. One Man’s life changed the world. One Book leads us back to Him. …and it all begins in the heart, the power of “one”.
I’m reminded in Scripture of the power of “one”. David going up against Goliath in I Samuel, Chapter 17. Esther going before the king to deliver the Jewish nation. Esther, Chapters 4-9. Moses leading God’s people out of the land of Egypt. Exodus, Chapter 3.
“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism. One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:4-6
You are the power of “one”. You can change a life for better or worse. You can lead one to heaven with Truth or lead one to Satan. Which will you be? A support or a burden? A light or darkness? The choice is yours. The power of “one”
